Meet Georgia!

Where are you from?

Northern Illinois

What’s your background?

I worked in a garden center for five years and have an associate’s degree in Science.

What drew you to Seascapes?

I loved my experience working in a nursery, and this job gives me the chance to learn about the plants that grow here on the islands.

What are you most looking forward to working here?

I’m most looking forward to learning all of the different plants and getting to know my coworkers!

What is your favorite plant?

I love the Spider Lily!


Meet Allison!

Where are you from?

Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, but I’ve also lived in Illinois and California before moving to Kaua’i.

What’s your background?

I spent 25 years as a public school teacher before retiring.

What drew you to Seascapes?

The opportunity to learn more about plants drew me to this job!

What are you most looking forward to working here?

I’m most looking forward to learning all I can about plants.

What is your favorite plant?

Currently, my favorite plant is the Black Batflower!


Meet Lora!

Where are you from?

Girard, Ohio

What’s your background?

I’m an artist with a background in Fine Art, including painting and printmaking! I’ve called Kaua’i home for 10 years.

What drew you to Seascapes?

I was drawn by the experience to work outdoors. I also appreciate the backstory of how the business grew into what it is today and how it continues to be a family business.

What are you most looking forward to working here?

I’m looking forward to helping nurture the little plants into big plants and learn more about different plant species- especially plants endemic to Hawai’i!

What is your favorite plant?

I love the beautiful Loulu palm, the native Prichardia napaliensis.

Anything else you want to add?

I feel like in some small way I’m helping heal the world by planting more plants… More oxygen for us to breathe :)
